Archa has been an independent Australian Research Council Future Fellow, President of the RNA Network of Australia, Elected Director of the International RNA Society (2020-21). She has been an independent investigator for 15 years, first affiliated with the Harry Perkins Institute (WAIMR) from 2006-2014, then as an academic at UWA from 2015 to present. She was the recipient of the Emerging leader award from the Australian/NZ Society for Cell and Developmental Biology in 2017.
